Body Imaging
UC San Diego Radiology performs advanced imaging research in a broad range of clinical, translational, and basic science projects to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of abdominal and pelvic organs. UC San Diego has unique expertise and is a global leader in diseases of the liver, prostate, bowel, and blood vessels, as well as in fetal and maternal health. Our scientists are committed to developing novel imaging methods to better identify life-threatening conditions such as cancer and chronic inflammation at early, potentially curable stages, thereby improving the health of those with or at risk for these disorders.
