Advanced Imaging & Data Technology

Technical innovation is a key driving force for advancing state-of-the-art imaging in Radiology. UCSD researchers use and develop leading-edge technology for work that spans the spectrum from developing innovative new imaging methods for studying basic physiological processes, to performing translational research that can be applied in the hospital today. A major strength of our department is our ability to develop and test MRI-based methodologies in multiple labs. But, as illustrated below, our research interests extend to nearly all imaging modalities. Our aim is to develop technologies that provide high-quality, quantitative, and time-efficient images and data to inform clinical decision making.
