Dr. Chu excels in teaching and patient care, particularly in her area of interest, imaging of the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary tract. She works with fluoroscopy, x-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound. She works clinically at both the Veterans Hospital and UCSD Medical Center. Dr. Chu was awarded the Silver Spoon Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Department of Radiology, University of California, San Diego, CA. She speaks at invited conferences and is an active member on several committees for the UCSD School of Medicine and the San Diego Veterans Healthcare System.
