Dr. Lejla Aganovic is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at University of California, San Diego. She is a native of Croatia where she received her M.D. degree at Medical University of Zagreb. After graduating from Medical School she moved to Charleston, where she completed radiology residency at Medical University of South Carolina. Her fellowship was in abdominal imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Aganovic spends most of her time at Department of Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare Hospital, where she interprets all aspects of abdominal imaging including ultrasound, CT and MRI. She particularly enjoys spending time with the radiology residents and medical students who rotate through the hospital on a monthly basis. She also teaches core lectures for fourth year UCSD medical students.

Dr. Aganovic has a special interest in abdominal and pelvic MRI applications such as rectal and prostate MRI. She published several articles, abstracts, educational exhibits and book chapters in field of abdominal radiology. She also presented at several national meetings including RSNA, ARRS and SUR and currently mentors residents in imaging research.
