Anne Roberts, M.D. spent a year sabbatical (1995-1996) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the Division of Cardiovascular, Respiratory, and Neurological Devices (Office of Device Evaluation) in the Center for Devices & Radiologic Health (CDRH). During that sabbatical, she acted as a consultant to reviewers in addition to performing reviews of medical devices, specifically those having to do with the cardiovascular system. After completing her sabbatical in 1996, she was appointed to service on the FDA's Circulatory System Devices Panel.
She has been active in the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology serving on multiple committees and offices including serving as the President of the Society in 1996-1997.
Dr. Roberts received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego and did her radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital as well as a fellowship in vascular radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has been on staff at the University of California, San Diego since 1987.
