At UCSD, we work closely with our neurologists and neurosurgeons to best diagnose your condition. Evaluation of the brachial plexus is difficult, requiring excellent imaging and interpretation. At UCSD, we have the MR scanners and the radiologists to do just that. We are researching and performing cutting edge techniques and new coil configurations to allow imaging of the array of nerves exiting the cervical spine and traveling down the neck and out to the arm, otherwise known as the brachial plexus.
Our schedulers will ask you many questions before this exam to be sure you are safe to have an MRI. If you would like to see a list of some of the questions you will be asked, please see
